miniature – 4 x 3 x 3 cm

ex. John I. Schneider Jr. #996 w/data card & photo Trinity Minerals dealer label IC Minerals dealer label Crystal Cellar dealer Label Repaired. Notes from the Schneider data card: There is a boytroidal mass of three generations of xls consisting of a pink crust with black manganite xls over a deep red xl layer on a pink matrix of rhodochrosite. Notes from John Veevaert: This is a boytroidal mass of three generations of rhodochrosite - a light pink core, red interior and light pink exterior studded with small manganite crystals. This specimen was not originally noted as repaired but under the scope it was quite evident that it had been. I placed it in acetone and re-repaired it to get rid of the shoddy glue job on it that was showing. It is now three snugly fitting pieces with epoxy with the repair not at all evident. ----- Photos courtesy of / ©2006 Trinity Mineral Company
