The Richard M. Geiger Collection

ex. Nancy Collins collection This is definitely the finest Utah rhodochrosite specimen I'm aware of. Pale rosy flattened rhombohedral crystals of rhodochrosite thickly coat 2-cm cores of solid brown-red rhodo with banding evident. I have to wonder whether this was part of the find made by Cliff Dilbert in 1975? (see specimens 322 and 323). ----- Photos ©2006 Richard Geiger
