The Richard M. Geiger Collection

This was a freebie bonus sent by the dealer, consisting of about a half-dozen doublyterminated quartz crystals laid out in perfect alignment along their long axis, flat against a flattish piece of massive quartz matrix. The 'otherwise transparent' crystals are coated and included through and through with red-brown Hematite, giving them an opaque macro appearance, which is very different when backlit under magnification.
