mincabinet.com has an alter ego, as a data warehouse and website control panel powering selling websites for mineral dealers. (It turns out that the digital description of a specimen in a collector's catalog, and the same specimen in a dealer's inventory catalog are almost identical).
In this role, a dealer uses a mincabinet.com dealer account as their inventory catalog and website control panel. Dealer selling websites use mincabinet as their database and content store.
For example, dealer "Ed McDole" has a dealer website at mcdolerocks.com, which is powered by mincabinet. They log in to their mincabinet account to enter their inventory (and media such as specimen images and videos, and texts such as show schedules). Meanwhile, when someone visits their site mcdolerocks.com , the site gets all of the content from the mincabinet site.
The first example of a dealer site powered by mincabinet.com is https://gaiaagates.com . We are in the process of moving several others into the new architecture. We then hope to add new mineral dealers and their websites.
Pricing: Currently, we offer dealers a package that includes both the mincabinet account and a "front-end" selling website, for a modest initial setup fee and then a monthly hosting fee that covers the operation of your database and website.
